IRISH PARTITION
Speaking on the question of the par- . tit ion of Northern Ireland from Eire. Mr de Valera said in a recent, interview: "You must remember that even if force were successful (in bringing about Irish unity) wo would have in our midst an embittered minority who in heart would be more separated from us than ever. Many of these people, who with their forbears have been here for hundreds of years, although they ditler from us. are proud of being Irish. We want to have them fully and completely one with us. We are confident that on the basis of that bond of common love for Ireland reunion can hardly be other than inevitable."
