Nalder, of the motor ship Hokitika, the police state, spoke the launch Madge, of Foxton, sheltering off the coast some miles south of the river mouth. He offered to tow her to Kapiti, but Mr Jensen declined, and was given two cars with which he said lie would be able to reach Foxton. A message from Foxton yesterday read: — Anxiety is felt for the safety of the fishing launch Madge, commanded by Mr C. Jensen, accompanied by Messrs A. Sands, senr. and junr. The vessel left the Manawatu Heads on Friday morning for fishing grounds and has not been seen or heard of since. She was expected back on Friday night. The weather was calm until yesterday.
