OIL DISPUTE
ARBITRATION FLAN REJECTED BY MEXICO. By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright. WASHINGTON, May 4. Mexico sent a Note to the United States rejecting proposed arbitration on the oil dispute on the ground that arbitration was inoperative since the oil firms had not yet proved denial of justice in Mexican courts. BRITISH INTERESTS. ARRANGEMENT WITH DUTCHAUTHORITIES. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, May 4. Arrangements have been made for Dutch authorities to look after British interests in Mexico. Since diplomatic relations between Britain and Mexico were severed in 1938 the Danish Legation had taken charge of British interests. The Nazi invasion of Denmark necessitated a change.
