A TRAINING RUN. A solid training run was held by the members of the Kiatere Harrier Club on Saturday from the Solway show grounds. The course laid by A. J. F. Carter, embraced a good variety of country, covering about five miles." W MacDonald.R. Greeks and W. Burgess were the first, men home, and this trio showed they will be amongst the club's foremost runners again this season. R. Searancke and Alister MacDonald followed the leaders in. The latter runner. after having been absent for the greater part of last season, still showed that he is in good form. O. Gaskin, after a spell of two years, once again turned out. and judging by Saturday's performance, showed that" he has lost none of the stamina and pace which made him the club's most consistent runner two seasons, ago. W. Team a former Dannevirke harrier, also ran a good race, as did C. Summers, a promoted junior. The juniors also held a training run over a three-mile course with a 20G yards run-in. which resulted in a close win for N. Jacobsen from F. Sexton S. Pickett and J. Laing. Next Saturday both seniors and juniors will hold teams races from the i showgrounds, starling at 2.30 p.m. MASTERTON CLUB. TRAINING RUN ON SATURDAY. The Masterion Harrier Club held a training run on Saturday, when there was a good attendance of members. The pace was brisk from start, to finish, with an occasional walk. The course led from the. Park Oval to golf links, via the Waipoua river and Rua'mahanga bridge, thence down French Street to To Ore Oro Road with the finish on the Park Oval.

Several members showed promising form for so early in the season, prominent among these being D. Wickons F. Gilliams and R. Gully. Another who showed up was K. Morriss, a newcomer to the club (Tom the South Island,
