Miss Daphne Eilers, of Pahiatua, is spending a holiday in Wellington. Miss C. Kent, Wellington, is at the Prince of Wales Hotel. Masterton. Mrs E. J. Coleman, of Masterton, is a visitor to Auckland.

Misses Beverley Taylor, Freda Masters, and Phyllis Masters are visiting Auckland. Mr and Mrs L. Carter, Patumahoe. were weekend guests at the Prince of Wales Hotel, Masterton. Mrs L. B. Cross, of Church Street, Masterton, spent the weekend in Wellington.

Mrs Martha Mary Pinkerton, of Miriam Street, Masterton, is celebrating her 91st birthday today. Mr and Mrs G. D. Porritt, Cambridge. were guests yesterday at the Prince of Wales Hotel, Masterton.

The first meeting of the Pahiatua branch of the Solway College Old Girls’ Association was held in the home of Miss Marjorie Taylor. Mrs Ellingham was elected as president and Miss Zeta Swain as honorary secretary and treasurer. Those of the members present were: Mrs Isakson, Mrs Ellingham, Mrs Ruskell, Miss Esme Wards, Miss Phyllis Brown, Miss Marjorie Taylor, Miss Jessie Jennings, Miss Zeta Swain. At the conclusion of the meeting afternoon tea was presided over by the hostess, Miss Marjorie Taylor.
