The Stockholm correspondents of both the British United Press and the Associated Press of Great Britain say that the British and French troops have been completely withdrawn from the Namsos district. The Norwegians remained to face the oncoming Germans. The only Allied forces remaining in Norway are those stationed in the Narvik region. The British United Press representative at Roros says Germans from Trondheim have captured Storen and are now advancing towards Roros from both'sides, with the Norwegians bitterly fighting delaying actions at Os and Rognes. The Norwegians are also still fighting at Stenkjaer and Namsos. HOSTILITIES CEASE IM TRONDHEIM AREA. ACCORDING TO AMERICAN CORRESPONDENT. (Received This Day, 11.35 a.m.) LONDON. May 3. The Associated Press of America’s Stockholm correspondent says the acting Norwegian commander in the Trondheim area, Colonel Obgetz, has announced a cessation of hostilities for the purpose o'f negotiating peace, “because the British and French have withdrawn.” SWEDISH REPORT AIR ATTACK ON EMBARKING ALLIES. The Copenhagen radio announced that Norwegian troops in the Trondelag area have already laid down their arms, and that only small leaderless patrols are resisting. GOING TO NARVIK? ALLIED TROOPS FROM CENTRAL NORWAY. (Received This Day, 1.15 p.m.) PARIS. May 3. It is reported that Allied troops from Central Norway are going to Narvik. INCREASED PRESSURE. REPORTED BY GERMANS. (Received This Day, 11.15 p.m.) BERLIN. ; May 3. The German High Command announces increased Allied pressure on Narvik. It says the Allies are slowly approaching the German positions under cover of fire from warships, but that, attacks ,against German outposts were repulsed.
