CRITICISED BY EMPIRE CORRESPONDENTS LETTER OF PROTEST SENT TO MR CHAMBERLAIN RESTRICTIONS ON NEWS AND COMMENT. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day, 10.10 a.m.) LONDON, May 3. The Association of Oversea Empire Correspondents has sent a letter to Mr Chamberlain and other Ministers and also to the High Commissioners, strongly protesting'against Service Departments’ censorship activities. The Association expressed deep resentment at the order that all comment and speculations on military operations in Norway, and even political criticism of the Government, relating to the general handling of the Norwegian campaign, should not pass the cable offices without reference to the Ministry of Information.
