MR. DUFF-COOPER’S CONTENTIONS. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright PARIS, May 1. Mr. Duff-Cooper, lecturing, said that if Germany defeated the Allies, it would be incumbent upon America to defend not only Canada from Germany, but Australia and New Zealand' from Japan. “It is America’s duty to ensure -a German defeat,” he said, “otherwise the United States would be in a hopeless position.”
