COSY THEATRE

"MYSTERY OF THE WHITE ROOM."

The change of programme tonight will be headed by “Mystery of the White Room,” featuring Bruce Cabot, Helen Mack, Constance Worth and Joan Woodbury. It is a most thrilling story, excellently presented and superbly acted. The murder of a surgeon in the operating theatre, and the death of another in suspicious circumstances, provide a mystery which is solved in a most interesting manner. The strongest cast yet assembled for a Crime Club production will appear in the new film. Bruce Cabot and Helen Mack portray the principal characters. The story is laid in a hospital. Heroic detective work by a young doctor unravels a double-murder case involving! nearly a dozen suspects. Hospital staff intrigue provides an undercurrent to the mystery. Authentic scientific and medical background was carefully prepared by Alex Gottlieb, writer of the screenplay, and a staff of technical advisors.

The supporting feature is “Blondie Takes a Vacation.” In this are starred Fenny-Singleton, Arthur Lake, and Larry Simms. The Bumstead family are now as firmly established favourites as the Hardy Family and the Jones Family, and in this, the third of the series, Blondie is even more entertaining in a delightfully human, domestic comedy. Patrons will enjoy Blondie’s vacation. Episode 111 of “Buck Rogers” will also be shown.
