HEAVY FIGHTING
ENEMY CLAIMS IN DOMBAS AREA. ALLIED TROOPS REPORTED INLAND FROM BERGEN. (Received This Day./’1.15 p.m.) LONDON, May 1. Apart from Dombas, through which the Germans claim that their troops are moving towards Andalsnes, the heaviest fighting appears to centre in the Jerkin area (north of Dombas). The Norwegians are resisting the Germans at Foldal, on the mountain road between the Oster Valley and Jerkin. It is reported that British and French troops have reinforced the Norwegians opposing the German advance inland from Bergen.
