RAISING OF FUNDS. A start has been made to rebuild the Meeting House at Te Ore Orc which was completely destroyed by fire some months ago, and a very active ladies' committee has made this possible. On Friday. May 3, a very attractive Paddy's Market is to be held on the vacant section between the premises of Messrs T. Wagg & Co.. Ltd. and Mr W. G. Perry’s, Queen Street. Housed in a huge lent will be a large Maori oven nt the back of the section whore meat will be cooked and sold to the public, together with sweets, cakes, vegetables and many other articles useful in every household. The proceeds from the sale will go towards the new building fund, which is being well subscribed to.
