Paddy’s Market.
A Paddy's Market in aid of the Lansdowne School funds will be held by the Home and School Association tomorrow in a shop next to Messrs Hugo and Shearer's, Queen Street. A good variety of useful articles will be on sale and it is expected that a fair sum will be raised for the benefit of the school. Territorial Parade. There was a good attendance at a parade of C Company, First Hawke's Bay Regiment held in the Masterton Drill Hail last night. Nine recruits attended the parade. The usual instruction work under N.C.O’s. was carried out. The men are reaching a high standard of efficiency. College Old Girls' Association. A pleasant evening was held at the home of fne president. Miss N 7 Boddington, Short Street, last night, when the Wairarapa College Old Girls' Association held the first of i.ts social gatherings lor the year. The lime was passed in musical items knitting for the Ped Cross Society, and a delightful play was read by four of the members. The next evening is to be held on May 13 at the home of Miss Avis Peterson, 77 Essex Street, when old end new members are invited to be present.
