FIVE KILLED
EXPLOSION IN LONDON THIRTEEN PERSONS INJURED. HOUSES SHAKEN OVER WIDE AREA. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. LONDON, April 21. Five were killed and 13 injured in an explosion in a munitions factory in
north London. Houses were shaken over a wide area and plate-glass windows a mile away were blown out. Two bodies recovered were of men blown into a nearby stream. The debris is being searched for the remaining three victims. The Ministry of Supply states that the explosion occurred in the mixing house. The building was destroyed, but reconstruction was started immediately, and it was expected that work would be resumed shortly in the section affected. A Court of Inquiry has been set up. The causes of the explosion are not yet determined, but there is no reason to suppose that the explosion was due to sabotage.
