The Wellington Trotting Club was again favoured with fine weather for the concluding day of its meeting on Saturday, when a large attendance of light harness enthusiasts saw a splendid day’s sport. As was generally expected, Jesse Owens again proved his superiority over his opponents in the R. A. Armstrong Memorial, and in his present form he promises to be hard to beat in any races that ho contests in the immediate future. Smile Again completed a double at the meeting by capturing the last event, the going apparently suiting her to a nicety. I The races were rim well up to time, and the general management of the ! meeting left nothing to be desired. Betting was spirited throughout the day. the machine handling £38,067. as against £2BJ>9l for the corresponding day last year.
