STOCK MARKET

FEILDING SALE YESTERDAY. LOWER PRICES FOR CATTLE. (B.v Telegraph—Press Association.) FEILDING. April 19. Except for a small entry of mutton, which made late rates, all sections of stock forward at the Feilding sale today met quiet markets. Store cattle: The influx of station stock was fairly heavy, and again the market was backward, particularly in the case of grown cattle. Good 4Jyear A.A. bullocks made £9 16s, sec-ond-quality £8 5s to £8 Bs, three-year £6 7s; three-year Hereford steers £7 3s 6d: 18-month A.A. steers, good. £4. others £2 6s; 18-month A.A. heifers £1 2s to £1 13s, two-year £2 13s; twoyear Hereford steers, good, £5 16s to £7; weaner steers and heifers £1 10s to £2; empty run cows, heavy. £4, others £1 15s to £2 13s, heifers £2 15s; cows with calves £3 ss; works cows, meaty. £4 2s 6d to £4 12s 6d. others £2 "15s to £3 12s 6d; weaner Jersey heifers £2 18s to £3. Dairy cattle: The springing heifers offered were of a good type and held with the range of last week’s prices, but, as with all other stock, the quality was not as good. Good springing heifers made £ll 7s 6d, second-qual-ity £7 10s to £8 ss, backward £5 to £6 12s 6d; heifers in milk, £5 10s; spring cows £6 5s to £B.
