HOSPITAL SUPPLIES GROUP. DONATIONS SOLICITED.
The Red Cross Society's hospital supplies group will start, its activities on Monday, April 29, at Messrs Hugo and Shearer's Oak Room at 1.30 p.m. The convenors would like all possible donations of old sheeting, tablecloths, towels, mosquito netting, organdie, pieces of flannel or print left at Messrs Hugo and Shearer's before Wednesday. April 24, so that the material may be made ready for the first sewing on April 29. FINNISH REFUGEES. ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF GIFTS. The Red Cross Society acknowledges receipt of parcels of clothing, etc., for the Finnish refugee appeal .as follow:—Mrs Harold Beetham, Mrs L. B. Maunsell, Masterton West School. Mrs Keith Shackleton, Upper Plain Women’s Institute, St. Matthew’s School (per Mrs Cleghorn), St. Matthew’s School (3 parcels new and used), Mrs W. McKenzie (parcel of new garments), Mrs Brenkley, Mrs Lee (6 underpants, new). Mrs G. H. Collie, Mrs Coe, Mrs Shellv (new), and Mrs J. G. Miller.
