Angle parking in Christchurch is one pleasing sight for the Rev A. V. Whiting, the new pastor for Trinity Congregational Church. Christchurch, who has just arrived from Johannesburg. South Africa. There, ho said, in a very prosperous city, the motor-cars are so numerous that parking is an immense problem. This is because no head-on or angle parking is allowed, even though the streets are wide, and Mr Whiting says that it worried him to see so much space being wasted. "Large-scale scoops for fines from traffic offenders are made by the traffic department.” Mr Whiting said, "and huge- sums of money are raked in to pay lor the department."
