MOLDAVIAN FORESTS
PROPOSED LEASE TO GERMANY. FURTHER INVESTIGATIONS. By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright. LONDON, April 18. The Bucharest correspondent of the British United Press reports that despite the announcement that the Senate has provisionally agreed to lease three important Moldavian forests to Germany, a commission has been appointed to make further- investigations. Military experts pointed out that the forests lie on the eastern stretch of the Carpathian Mountains, between the oil fields and the Russian frontier, which is a possible path for the invasion of Rumania.
