TWO GERMAN BATTLESHIPS SCHARNHORST & DEUTSCHLAND. ACCORDING TO SWEDISH REPORT. LONDON, April 18. Both the German battleships Scharnhorst and Deutschland are battered beyond use and aground, according to unconfirmed Swedish reports. The Scharnhorst is believed to be lying with her stern under water in a creek near Trondheim, where another cruiser is also aground. The “Svenska Dagbladet” says file Deutschland went aground during operations in a fiord north of Trondheim.
