MORERE OIL BORE
PROGRESS OF OPERATIONS. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) GISBORNE. April 18. Drilling at the New Zealand Petroleum Company Morere No. 1 well has progressed over 400 feet in the past week. A bulletin issued today stated that the bore has reached a depth of 1920 feet and is now being reamed out to the full 17Jin diameter. The strata penetrated consists of hard shale.
