PURCHASE OF GREENLAND
PROPOSED BY AMERICAN CONGRESSMAN. 3y Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day. 9.50 a.m.) WASHINGTON. April 18. In the House of Representatives. Mr Hamilton Fish has introduced a resolution authorising the President to purchase Greenland at an estimated price of 40.000.000 dollars. Mr Fish explained: "The United States should adopt a policy of purchasing or acquiring, as an offset of debts, all foreign and nonCanadian possessions within 1500 miles of the coast.”
