I ' ” j FEATHERSTON COUNTY COUNCIL. ROADS CLOSED TO HEAVY TRAFFIC. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, in pursuance of the Wairarapa Counties Joint By-law Amendment By-law. 1930, the Featherston County Council, by resolution dated the 12th day of April. 1940. has determined that, owing to weather conditions, the roads within the County described in the Schedule hereto, while fit for heavy traffic up to (a) Three tons in weight in the case of the transportation of any motor vehicle. (b) One and a-half tons avoirdupois in weight to each pair of wheels in the case of the transportation of any other vehicle, engine, or machine, will be unfit for heavy traffic exceeding such weights for the whole of the months of May. June, July, August and September. 1940. and has by the said resolution ordered that heavy traffic exceeding the said weights shall during the said months cease on the said roads. THE SCHEDULE. All roads in the Greytown Riding except the Wellington-Napier and Grey-town-Bidwill’s Cutting Main Highway, and No. 1 Line. . All roads in the Otaraia Riding excepting the Martinborough-Otaraia Main Highway and the MartinboroughHautotara Bridge Main Highway. All roads in the Turanganui Riding excepting the Martinborough-Pirinoa Main Highway, the Kahautara Main Highway, the Pirinoa-Lake Ferry Road and the Whangaimoana Road. All roads in the Pahaoa Riding. All roads in the Awhea Riding. All roads in the Western Lake Riding excepting the Featherston-Pigeon Bush M.H. FEATHERSTON COUNTY COUNCIL. NOTICE. SPECIFYING WEIGHTS PERMITTED OVER THE PAHAOA RIVER BRIDGES. PURSUANT to Section (8) of "The Heavy Motor Vehicles Regulations. 1932." the Featherston County Council DOTH HEREBY DECLARE the use on those parts of the roads in the County of Featherston described in the First Schedule hereto of the classes of vehicles described in the Second Schedule hereto for the period of twelve calendar months from the 28th day of April. 1940. PROVIDED THAT this prohibition shall not apply for the use of such roads by any vehicle of the said classes on any occasion authorised in writing by the Clerk to the County. FIRST SCHEDULE. That part of the Maeraki Road near Mr D. Cameron's, being the Moeraki Bridge across the Pahaoa River, Hinakura. That part of the Hinakura Road near Mr Simpson’s, being the bridge known as the Hinakura Bridge across the Pahaoa River. - That part of the Ngakonui Road near the Ngakonui Station, being the Bridge known as the Ngakonui Bridge. SECOND SCHEDULE. 1. Heavy Motor Vehicles other than mu Hi-axled Motor Vehicles exceeding gross weight 3 tons. 2. Multi-axled Heavy Motor Vehicles exceeding gross weight of 4.5 tons. 3.
