EXPLODING FROG

SOUTH AFRICAN SCIENTISTS FIND. The story of an exploding frog was laid in Bloemfontein by Dr. O. C. Hollman. Assistant Director of the National Museum, who has returned from a research tour in Natal. This type of frog—known as Jan Boule —was discovered by Dr Hoffman in a dense forest. He had procured one specimen which he placed on his palm. His son noticed that the frog was .growing ferocious. While lie was holding it in one hand, the frog "blew up" —and "exploded" with a loud crack after it had gained about twice its original size.
