Maringi. are staying with Mr. and Mrs. D. B. Cameron, Glendhu. Mrs. D. Brunton and Miss Brunton Dreyers Rock, left today on a visit, to New Plymouth. Mrs. W. Innes, Pirinoa. is staying with Miss Bellis, Pownall Street, Masterton. Mr. and Mrs. T. C. Richardson, The Terrace, Lansdowne, are visiting Ekctahuna. Miss E. Robieson, Pownall Street, Wellington, has been spending a few days in Wellington. Miss M. Speedy. Worksop Road. Masterton. is spending a holiday in the South Island. Mr. and Mrs. G. Grylls, who have been staying with Mr. and Mrs. N. 11. James, Masterton. have returned to Dunedin. Mr. and Mrs. Tan Speedy, Flag Creek, who have been staying at Paraparaumu Beach, have returned to Tinui. Mrs. R. Foster and Miss V. Edwards. . of Masterton, who have been spending I a holiday in Wanganui as the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Wood, have returned home. The death occurred at Palmerston North yesterday of Mrs. Julia Jones, widow of Mr. Richard Jones, formerly of Masterton, at the age of 84 years. The funeral will take place tomorrow, leaving the chapel of Hyde’s Funeral Service. Ltd., after a service which will be held at 2 pan., for the Masterton Cemetery. Mrs S. Cox. Fitzroy. New Plymouth, celebrated her 86th birthday on Sunday. Mrs Cox is the youngest daughter of the late Mr and Mrs Richard lorns and is the oldest living descendant of one of the pioneer families of Masterton. As an infant she was carried all the way from Wellington to Masterton by her parents. Mrs Bennett lorns, of 3 Bunny Street, Masterton, is a daughter of Mrs Cox.
