An innovation in the teaching of New Zealand history at the Te Awamutu Primary School was introduced on a recent afternoon, when about 150 of the pupils, none of them more than 12 years of age. re-enacted the ceremony of signing the Treaty ol Waitangi. The "lesson" was fully ceremonial, with Governor Hobson and his officers, also missionaries, ladies, settlers. and Maori men and women, all in full dress. The ceremony look place on the largo lawn beside I hr* school, and was most impressive. 11 was watched by many parents.
