Flood damage in the Ayr district is estimated at £1,500,000. Many farms have been totally destroyed, crops ruined, buildings damaged or demolished and tractors, irrigation, livestock and machinery swept away. .Some paddocks in the Homehill, area recently planted for 1911 cane harvest are now lagoons. It will bo years before some of the farms can harvest again.
