PAPER SHORTAGE

IN PROSPECT IN BRITAIN REDUCTION LIKELY IN SIZE OF NEWSPAPERS. By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright. (Receved This Day, 11.40 a.m.) LONDON. April 12. The German invasion of Denmark and Norway may result in an early reduction in the size of British newspapers and consequent further rises in advertisement rates. Practically all the present supplies of paper pulp come from Sweden, Norway and Finland. Therefore the British papermaking industry is likely to languish until the invasion has ended or fresh supplies of pulp are received from other sources.
