GERMANS AT NARVIK
CUT OFF FROM WORLD THREE ENEMY DESTROYERS SUNK. TWO OTHERS BURNT AND RUN ASHORE. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day, 10.20 a.m|) LONDON. April 12. The British United Press correspondent in North Norway states that the Germans at Narvik are cut off from the world, according to an eyewitness, who declared that British destroyers sank three German destroyers and set on fire two others, which burned throughout the day and then went aground. Germans advancing eastward from Narvik last night withdrew back to Narvik. Germans advancing northward are also withdrawing.
