NORWEGIAN UNITY

LABOUR PARTY RALLYING SUPPORT DENUNCIATION OF PUPPET GOVERNMENT. FINE RESPONSE TO KING'S APPEAL. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. LONDON, April 11. A Norwegian communique declared that the Government and Parliament still exists since the withdrawal from Oslo. A strong appeal to all trades unions and trades union leaders has been issued by the Norwegian Labour Party to rally in support of their country’s freedom and independence. The puppet Government is stigmatised as a traitor. The official German news agency says that there is neither a de facto | nor a de jure state of war between I Germany and Norway and that the J Norwegian Government had not made any declaration that it was at war with Germany. The President of the Norwegian Parliament, Dr. Hambro, declared in Stockholm today that Norway had cifered to negotiate if the Germans stopped hostilities, but the German Minister replied that Germany's action developed automatically. Dr. Hambro added that 2000 Germans had landed by plane at the Oslo civil aerodrome. The Norwegian planes at the southern base were withdrawn before the German attack and stores of petrol, oil and grain were successfully removed. The Norwegian Foreign Minister. Professor Kohl, broadcasting, said: “We are at war with Germany, and consequently we are an ally of all countries fighting Germany.” The director of the Oslo wireless station, who arrived in Stockholm, declared that followers of the Norwegian Nazi leader, and not German troops, first occupied Ihe O>lo station. He added that King Haakon’s appeal to fight against the Germans had been a big success, and that troops were assembling at many points. The latest of the flood of false reports from the Oslo radio station is that the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation said it was its duty to abide by the agreement between the Norwegian and German Governments.
