TONIGHT'S PROGRAMME. Marking his first portrayal of a newspaper reporter since the immortal “Cimarron,” Richard Dix again scores in “Twelve Crowded Hours.” an exciting drama which will be shown at Alfredton tonight. - The entire action of the picture takes place in the twelve-hour period between, supper-time one night and breakfasttime the next morning. The action is continuous, and the most incredible amount of adventure, excitement, daring and suspenseful drama is crowded into those 12 fateful hours. Lucille Ball, paired romantically with Dix, is appearing as his screen partner for the first time, and this couple wage a battle for freedom and for life itself for those 12 hours. Also on the programme is the "March of Time” showing “Inside the Maginot Line.” It portrays the mammoth extent of Europe's No. 1 fixed frontier,, the gigantic 125-mile line of concrete and steel which stretches from Flanders to Switzerland, and which underground, houses a vast, army. It reveals where these soldiers drill, eat, sleep, hew the forts are ventilated and lighted, how communication is maintained with the outside world.
