GREAT BATTLE
SEEN FROM SWEDISH COAST NUMBER OF SHIPS SUNK. SWARMS OF PLANES ENGAGED. (Received This Day, 10.45 a.m.) LONDON. April 10. There is every indication that, behind the news from Scandinavia lies the story of a great naval battle. Fighting in the Skagerrak has been raging since G a.m. today. Watcher on the Swedish coast saw two large warships, which they could not identify, sinking and also reported that two German transports and one destroyer were sunk. Swarms of planes participated in the battle, in which, it is believed, at least ten German warships are involved.
GERMAN AIRCRAFT FLIGHT OVER SWEDISH BORDER ALLEGED. (Received This Dev. 10.20 a.m.) STOCKHOLM, April 10. Numerous German aircraft were seen near the Swedish-Norwegian border.
