AS part of its programme of Centennial Celebrations, the Government is undertaking, in collaboration with the Centennial organisation, a National Festival of Community Drama. WELLINGTON, TARANAKI, HAWKE’S BAY, NELSON & MARLBOROUGH PROVINCES— British Drama League, Wellington. Secretary: Mr F. V. Sanderson, 18 Roderigo Road, Kilbirnie, Wellington. CANTERBURY AND WESTLAND PROVINCES— British Drama League, Timaru. Secretary Mr A. E. Lawrence, Le Cren Street, Timaru. OTAGO AND SOUTHLAND PROVINCES— British Drama League, Dunedin. Secretary: Mr Douglas, Altom Avenue, Musselburgh, Dunedin. The competition is open to all interested in the production of one-act plays. Local competitions will be held, followed by semi-finals in the four centres, and culminating in a Grand National Drama Festival to be held in Wellington on or about July 25. Prizes for National Final winners:— First £5O Second £25 , Locomotion expenses of teams participating in the National Final will be paid. Information as to rules, etc., may be o&tained from the Provincial Secretaries listed above, from any Area in the British Drama League, or from the General Secretary, Centennial Branch, Department of Internal Affairs, WELLINGTON.
