“ANDY HARDY GETS SPRING FEVER.” The final screening of this delightfully funny production will take place this evening. Never has Mickey Rooney been funnier, while Lewis Stone, Fay Holden and the rest of the "Hardy” family are perfect as usual. "MAN ABOUT TOWN.” Jack Benny, the master laugh-getter, ■ makes another contribution to the f screen in the lavish new Paramount i comedy with music, "Man About i Town.” . With glamorous Dorothy La- : mour and jolly rotund Edward Arnold in co-starring roles, the most hilarious of Benny's screen offerings will be unveiled tomorrow at the Regent Theatre. Produced on a lavish scale by Arthur Hornblow, Jr., the man who is known as the “Ziegfeld of Hollywood.” "Man About Town” sparkles with hilarious situations, bright dialogue, platoons of perfect Petty Girls, and three songs which are already popular. Among the big added attractions of the picture are the sensational dances 61. “Rochester." who makes his screen debut with his radio chief in this picture. The "Rochester'’ dancing is said
to be amazing, guaranteed to provoke laughter from any audience. Just as amazing is the dancing of the worldrenowned Merriel Abbott Dancers, who do incredible acrobatic routines in the harem sequences. Important supporting roles are played by Binnie Barnes, Phil Harris, as Jack’s orchestra leader; Betty Grable, as a chorus girl; "Rochester, ' as Jack's valet; E. E. Clive and Matty Malneck and his Orchestra. The tew songs introduced in the picture are “That Sentimental Sandwich" and ’Strange Enchantment,” by Frederick Hollander and Frank Loosser. and “Fidgety Joe," by Matty Malneck and Frank Loesser. ' Splendid supporting featurettes include an outstanding Ted Ilusing item. “Death Valley Thrills." Plans are al Nimmo’s and the theatre.
