NORWAY PROTESTS
DEMAND THAT ALLIED MINES BE LIFTED PROFESSOR KOHT CRITICISED. TERMS OF NOTE CALLED OBJECTIONABLE. The action of the Allies in laying three minefields in Norwegian waters has created a deep impression in Scandinavia. British naval vessels have begun to patrol the areas. This afternoon the Norwegian Minister in London saw Lord Halifax in the Foreign Office. A communique issued in Oslo demands that the Allied mines be immediately removed, and foreign warships patrolling Norwegian waters withdrawn. Professor Kohl, Norwegian Minister of Foreign Affairs, alleged that the Allied Note was phrased in objectionable terms, and said the matter was one for Parliament to consider. ENEMY TROOPS MASSED IN BALTIC AREA. (Received This Day. 10.15 a.m.) I.ONDON. April 3. It is officially stated that Germany has greatly reinforced her forces in the Baltic region during the past fourteen hours. Troops are constantly practising embarkation and disembarkation.
