MOTOR CYCLE SPORTS
GATHERING AT TE WHITI. INTEREST IN HILL CLIMBING. During the weekend the Masterton Motor Cycle Sports Club held competitions at Te Whiti before a large assemblage of spectators in splendid weather conditions. Unfortunately some of the machines practising before the events took place were thrown out of action and did not complete in the actual events. The hill climb created much excitement and some thrills were experienced by the competitors. The winners of the events were: Hill climb ia fairly steep and not: too smooth incline).- —J.
