JUDGE STABBED
CHAIRMAN OF TRIBUNAL. CHARGE OF ATTEMPTED MURDER. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. LONDON. April G. Judge Burgis, chairman of the Lancashire and Cheshire Conscientious Objectors' Tribunal, was stabbed four times in the back when boarding a train, and admitted to the Manchester Hospital wiih severe wounds. His condition is serious. Henry Ballantine Best, aged 24. clerk, was charged at Manchester with intent to murder Judge Burgis. He said lie aid net intend to murder and was remanded.
