SALVAGED TANKER
TAKEN IN TOW DY FRENCH WARSHIP. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day. 1.5 p.m.) LISBON. April 7. A French tanker, earlier reported to have been taken in tow by the Corvo. after being torpedoed and abandoned, was the Picardie. She is not listed at Lloyd's because she was purchased from Norway at the outbreak of war. A French warship met the Corvo and took the tanker in tow.
