Ait angry demonstration occurred outside the Communist Party items in the city last night, when about a thousand people, including a large number of soldiers, sailors and Air Force men. attempted to storm the building. The police, standing shoulder to shoulder, across the doorway, prevented soldiers, sailors and Air Force men entering. Stones were thrown at lighted windows. Those in the building later filed out under the protection of the police and members Of Hie Provost Corps. Tile demonstration appeared to be a culmination of auli-Communist feeling which tirr.i, became evident at the Domain yesterday afternoon. Six men alleged to bo Communists were attacked by soldiers after a meeting in the Domain and banners were seized and burned. A soldier alleged to have been attacked with a hammer was admitted to hospital. No arrests were made.
