OLD BOYS' CLUB. ANNUAL REPORT. The annual report of the Old Boys’ Football Club, which is to be presentea to the annual meeting on Monday night, and is signed by Mr. F. M. Morton, secretary, on behalf of the committee, stales: Your committee has much pleasure in submitting the sixteenth annual report and financial statement of the club, covering the 1939 season. The club enjoyed a good year, the standard of football provided being an improvement on previous years. Senior and junior teams were entered in the Wairarapa Rugby Union's championships and both teams finished weTi. up on the ladder. The senior team played two friendly matches towards the end of tne season —defeating a Puketoi Sub-union team at Pongaroa, and losing to Kia Toa at Palmerston North, and it is suggested that these should be made annual games. We congratulate the following on gaining representative honours: — Senior, A. Armour, E. Denbee. W. Dyer, J. Eastwood, O. Hatton. D. Hoggans, R. Mitchell, R. O'Callaghan and W. Rayner: junior, J. Alexander, S. Cardno, B. Rayner, T. Wilton. Of last year's teams, a large number are already in camp or overseas, and most of the rest have enlisted. We wish them and the many ex-members of the Club who have joined up, the best of luck and a safe return. The club’s thanks are due to the energetic ladies' committee it has been fortunate in having; to Messrs. N. G. Rayner and E. A. Nutt for donations: to Mr. N. H. James, the honorary auditor: to the press, and to the numerous supporters who have assisted the club.
