The Air Ministry announced thal :i i'oriiuii ion 01. the British Airer;iLi Boniher Command yesterday afternoon penetrated the enemy defences in the Jade Estuary and successfully reconnoitred the naval base al Wilhelmshaven which was attacked with bombs. Further south, four enemy destroyers were also attacked and damaged. It is believed that no damage or casualties were suffered by the British aircraft, all of which returned safely.
