SWEDISH PROTEST

ADDRESSED TO GERMANY. SHIPS SUNK WITHOUT WARNING. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. STOCKHOLM, April 4. The Government is protesting to Germany against torpedoing of the steamers Dalaro, Liana and Osmed in February. It declares that the Dalaro was sunk after a warning was given, but without tin examination of the cargo when she was on route to Sweden Irom a neutral harbour. The U-boat took no steps for the safely of the crew. The other vessels were torpedoed without warning. Ten members of the crew of the Liana and thirteen of the Osmed were killed.
