RECORD SEALING WORK

MASTERTON COUNTY HIGHWAYS. A record length of road sealing, about eight miles, was carried out this season by the Masterton County>Council. The lengths of highway sealed included portion of the Masterton-Tiniu Road from Bennett’s Hill to a mile beyond Taueru and the Weraiti Hill portion of the Masterton-Stronvai Highway. Besides these two important works, kibblewhite Road and. inconjunction with the Masterton Borough Council. Ngaumatawa Road and South Belt were all sealed. Further extensive deviations are under way on the Masterton-Stronvar Highway beyond the Taueru River, while a new concrete bridge is being built over the river itself. It is expected that the bridge will be completed in about three months.
