ANNUAL STOCK JUDGING COMPETITION. CONTEST FOR POINT BLANK CUP. The annual stock judging competition held by Wairarapa Young Farmers’ Clubs will take place at at the Solway Showgrounds on April 18. commencing at 10 a.m. This year there will be six classes — Romneys. Southdowns.- dairy cattle, beef cattle, horses and pigs. '’All district clubs arc expected to be entering teams. The competition is for the Point Blank Cup. which is at present hold by the Masterton Club. The judges for the various classes are: Romney? Mr L. N. Hoggard; Southdown. Mr A. H. Falloon; dairy cattle, Mr Alox Keith; beef cattle. Mr J. IVI. James; horses. Mr A. Whyte (Hastings); pigs, Mr A. Johnson. The Young Farmers' Federation Cup. which was won by the Wairarapa team at the Royal Show at Invercargill last year in the national stock judging competition, has just arrived in Masterton. The Wairarapa team which scored such notable success was Messrs G. Blatchford. 1. McLaren and H. McKenzie.
