STRIKE OF SCAVENGERS IN CALCUTTA. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Received This Day, 10 a.m.) CALCUTTA, April 2. The scavengers’ strike has been called off. It was reported recently that the strike had brought about an epidemic of cholera in which at an early stage there were ten deaths.
