HOMELESS FINNS
NUMBER MORE THAN HALF A MILLION GREAT NEED OF HELP. APPEAL BY THE LEAGUE. By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright. (Received This Day, 11.35 a.m.) GENEVA, April 1. Finland has informed the League of Nations that 550.000 persons have left their homes as a result of the war. Of these, 55 per cent are children and thirty per cent women. All need food, clothing and other supplies, for which the League is making an appeal to its members. Fifty thousand persons arc homeless in the war zone, apart from the territory ceded to Russia.
