HOGAN’S SENSATIONAL PLAY. By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright. ASHVILLE (North Carolina). March 31. Ben Hogan won the Ashville golf tournament with a total of 273. In a fortnight he has won three major tournaments, in which he played 21G holes in 24 strokes under par. the most sensational winning streak in history. Hogan three-putted on only two greens. He uses a peculiar "buggy" whip drive to outdistance the field.

A message from Augusta, Georgia, states that Ferrier headed the field today in practice matches preceding the masters' tournament, scoring GG —six under par. Other scores included: Craigwood G 9. Bobby Jones, 70.
