EIGHT BY TEN SHACK
WITHOUT WATER OR DRAINAGE. A CORRESPONDENT’S COMPLAINT. A correspondent, “Disgusted," writes staling that, in contrast to the normally good conditions obtaining in Masterton, two people are living in an "eight by ten shack, with no drainage or water supply on the property." Our correspondent comments severely on this state of affairs and urges that it is incumbent on the Health Department to take action. The Borough Sanitary Inspector, Mr. T. A. Russell, on being applied to, said he knew of no place in the borough in which the conditions were such as described by our correspondent. If particulars were supplied as to the location of the property in question he would be only too pleasea to take appropriate action.
