MANY TRADES
army co-operative squadron OTTAWA. The Royal Canadian Air Force, possibly more than any oilier of the Dominion's war services, brings together and makes use of practically every trade and profession. The Army Cooperative Squadron which will soon proceed overseas to rejoin their comrades of the First Canadian Contingent have a song composer of their own who has composed a piece under the title "We've Got a Lovely War to Win” which has been received by his comrades with spontaneous acclaim. Apart from the various professions and occupations drawn together by the enlistment' of flying officers, many trades are required for the ground crews. These include the following: acetylene welders, electricians, wireless and electrical mechanics, tailors, photographers. telephone operators, motor-boat crewmen, meteorologists, machinists, watch makers, instrument repairers, fabric workers, equipment assistants, cooks, clerks, cabinet makers, armament artificers, wood workers, metal workers, motor mechanics and tinsmiths.
