TASTY LUNCHEON

BAKED BUTTERSCOTCH APPLES. Peel and core six apples and fill the centres with raisins and chopped walnuts or stoned dates. Mix together 1 cup each plain flour and brown sugar. 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, add 1 cup butter or margarine and work together until almost a paste. Prick the whole of the apple with a fork until the surface is quite rough, cover each apple completely with the mixture, taking care to press paste well on to apples. Bake in a well-buttered dish in a moderate oven for about 45 minutes or until apples are cooked.
