Mrs S. T. Tinney. of Pahiatua is visiting Napier. Mr and Mrs Oldfield, Hastings, are staying at the Prince of Wales Hotel, Masterton. Mr and Mrs A. Shrimpton, Hastings, were weekend guests at the Prince of Wales Hotel. Masterton. Mrs' Toogood and her sister, Mrs McLeod, of Masterton, are spending a holiday in Napier. Miss I. C. Mac Kay, Wellington, was a guest recently at the Prince of Wales Hotel, Masterton. Mrs D. McMinn, of Pahiatua, is making satisfactory progress after an operation at the Tararua Private Hospital. Mr and Mrs J. M. Laing, Miss N. Nikolaison and Miss M. Tildesley. Masterton, have been visiting the Chateau Tongariro. Recent guests of Mrs A. Haigh, of Greytown, have been Mr and Mrs Norman Ross (Kaponga), Mr and Mrs Noel Lewis (Motueka) and Mr and Mrs Max Maddison (Hastings). A naval wedding was celebrated recently in St Benedict's Church, Auckland, when Peggy Elva, youngest daughter of Mr V. Boyens, Pahiatua, was married to William Vincent, only son of the late Mr and Mrs Gallagher, New York. The bridesmaid was Miss Audrey Boyens, sister of the bride. Mr Ivan Benton, of Levin was best man. Both the bridegroom and the best man are members of the crew of H.M.S. Achilles.
